What happened

Five ways youth stepped into the future of work.

For the first time ever, we brought a youth-focused track to Singapore Week of Innovation and Technology (SWITCH) — a full-day experience where 375 youth stepped into the future of work. From exploring how AI is reshaping real jobs across industries in Singapore, to debating its impact on creativity, careers, and society, youth walked away with both inspiration and practical exposure. Industry insiders, founders, and innovators showed up. Youth got hands-on with AI tools, and the day closed with a celebration of future talent and music.

WorkWindows

375 youth explored 9 industry partners across 7 sectors — Airbus (Aerospace), Prefer (Agrifood & FMCG), SepPure and VFlowTech (Energy), Visa and Syfe (Finance), HeyMax (Tourism), raiSE (Social Enterprise), and SingHealth (Healthcare) — and left with a challenge card to solve in AIdea Labs.

AIdea Labs

With their challenge cards, youth got hands-on with ChatGPT, Lindy, and Runway across 3 sessions, tackling real problems set by the WorkWindows partners.

ThinkClash

Two live debates ran back to back — “AI for the Masses vs. Builders” and “Youth Should Be Generalists vs. Specialists” — moderated by Thomas Jeng, Startups Lead at OpenAI. Panelists included founders, government leaders, and VCs; the audience voted before and after each debate to pick the winning team.

Creation Showcase

Youth from across the region pitched at the ASEAN China India Youth Leadership Summit Grand Finals, and the top AIdea Labs creations were showcased on the main stage.

AI Beats Bash

The day closed with DJ Darren blending man-made and machine-made beats — together, the room built an original Future Re:Wired song from the crowd's own words and ideas.
